Hello there, Çağkan Sensei is back and going to talk about Augmented Reality a little bit more. So as I listed in previous post, there is this app for AR, Aurasma. Aurasma is one of the leading augmented reality platforms, which can be used in all smart phones and computers. Basically, Aurasma enables teachers to connect digital content such as video to images in books and classroom walls with a simple picture. You can scan a picture, upload or copy a link to app and you are done. Whenever someone scans that picture, your project will come to life.
Creative Ways to Use Aurasma
Creating Posters/Word Walls which are all interactive. If you hang the word "cut" to your wall and upload some information about cutting the children can scan and learn its meaning.
Classroom Rules
From younger to older grades, every classroom has established rules. Aurasma can allow you to have students create skits or display ways in which the rules are followed in the classroom. Other ideas are to show proper lab procedure, the way your classroom should be left at the end of the day, or how to properly care for classroom pets.
